Not unless you find a way of posing it to a representative sample of people.

Ah, so "we" in your question means developers? Other users don't count?
Even with that caveat, I think developers are as much affected by the
vocabulary used to submit their tax returns as by the vocabulary used to
deliver their RSS feeds.
