If not....
sed -i -e "s/<value><!\[CDATA/<valueCDATA><![CDATA/g" file.xml
xslt ...
sed -i -e "s/valueCDATA>/value>/g" file.xml
and add the following to the stylesheet.
<xsl:template match="valueCDATA">
<valueCDATA><xsl:value-of select="."/></valueCDATA>
and cdata-section-elements="valueCDATA"
replacing sed by any other non-xml editing tool of choice if you don't
like sed.
