Namespaces by Convention

If we are looking for a light-weight namespace scheme for Micro XML, I
wonder whether it's possible to define namespaces for new vocabularies by
convention.

Thus, rather than defining your XML to be in a particular namespace, you
would define the root element to be something like:

<org.example.mySchema.myElement>...

For example, if you were using XML schema you'd do:

<xs:schema xmlns:xs="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema";>
    <xs:element name="org.example.mySchema.myElement">
        ...
    </xs:element>
</xs:schema>

Any mileage in that?
