We did test a much older release of XQSharp against Mono a while back,
but if I recall it would not start correctly due to various issues with
Mono's implementation of System.Xml.Schema.
However this was at least a year ago, and a number of issues that we
reported have been fixed since then; it may be about time we tried
again. I might have a look at this if I have any spare time in the next
week.
If you are keen to try you can grab the free trial from our website, and
we would be delighted to hear if you get it to work, or if you run into
any issues.
