Here is the Environment in which you will be working, inventing and patenting - Native storage and Indexes for XML content that can be structured, semi-structured and unstructured.
- Query and manipulation of the content using XQuery 1.0, SQL/XML 2007, XSLT 1.0
- XML repository that provides a file/folder metaphor with very efficient path based lookups, with support for ACLs, versioning and links
- HTTP/WebDAV, NFSv4, FTP and SQL access to the repository
- Infrastructure for XML database, including Object technologies, Extensible Indexing framework and Large OBject (LOB) datatype support for the Oracle database. These technologies are used by several other internal and external customers besides XMLDB, including Life Sciences, Secure Enterprise Search, Spatial and Multimedia.
- End to End applications on top of XMLDB, such as XBRL and XML-search integration
