Transformative Programming: Flow-based, functional, and more

I'm seeing many parallels between work we've done here in markup and
work that's described as the latest and greatest elsewhere. There are
common roots, of course, in work done long ago.

From an XML perspective, XProc plays a starring role here, making it
relatively easy for people to connect transformations rather than build
transformations.
Thanks to everyone here and at Balisage for various combinations that
made these connections seem more real.
