I was bemoaning the loss of the human readable information more than the
basic data type.

You can easily obfusticate one number to another, one string to another,
etc.  You can¡¯t tell me that it used to be a surname.

Of course, this information is not normally held in a machine readable way
(unless you are using RDFa or similar); it would just be really nice to be
able to analyse.
