Yes, there may be a risk. The risk is that a schema doesn't incorporate
business rules, nor does it document semantic meaning.
At best, it can only imply or hint, although that can sometimes be all
that is needed. In the publishing field there are many vocabularies with
element types such as
<title>
<main-title>
<subtitle>
<full-title>
<draft-title>
<called-title>
etc
Equally, there can just be <title> with attributes, and external
documentation (think TEI) that explains in the finest possible detail
EXACTLY how you construct the metadata from sources with multiple ways
of expressing their title, including no title at all.
