You can use this XQuery in BaseX (maybe it works in other XQuery 
engines) to convert to CSV and open it directly in Excel and other 
Worksheets:

    let $source := doc( "path\to\your\XML\file" )
    return csv:serialize( $source/*, map { "header": true() } )
