Or it might be an instruction to avoid going near the fridge if you have an allergy to tomatoes, or an instruction to buy something that goes with tomatoes, or an instruction to make sure the fridge is left switched on, or an instruction to remove the tomatoes from the fridge because it was supposed to be empty, or an instruction to tell me how they come to be there, or an instruction to stop telling me there are no tomatoes in the fridge when it isn't true.

It's information, pure and simple. How you act on it is up to you.
