open source efforts

There are now two open source efforts for ASAP
http://sourceforge.net/projects/axisasap/ for Java and
http://sourceforge.net/projects/easyasap/ for C++

John Fuller has contributed to the EasyAsap project. Izar will be
contributing to the AxisAsap shortly.
