I generally agree with Jason s statements. Assume this would go on a black or white background - how does it look then?

The logo needs to be able to be rendered both on dark background as well as bright backgrounds because both are used in software systems. If a background color is used, it is going to look out of place in a lot of contexts (people will want the logo with no background)
As such I strongly think the background should not be part of the logo at all per-se.

I would suggest brown-backgrounds and yellow/orange letters (combination of 1 and 4).
So both logo and letters in yellow/organge.

All, During the TC meeting today it was a discussion about the CACAO's logo and therefore I designed some versions of it. I know that's not an easy task to decide/agree for a specific logo for the CACAO but here are some design alternatives I came up tonight. Please find attached a .PNG file with some explanations. I am open to your suggestions/comments.
