Forum 2004 - Call for Participation

Dee,

I said that I would
send you some info about the Open Forum as soon as the official web site got
updated. That has now been done.

Could you include a
notice about the Open Forum in appropriate OASIS messages and web
pages?

Thanks.

Bruce

Here is some
information:

You are
invited to participate in the International Open Forum on Metadata Registries,
this year titled: The Open Forum for eBusiness and Metadata Technology
Standardization, to be held May 17-10, 2004 in Xian, China.

This is the
seventh in a series of international conferences about topics related to
metadata registries. (Last year the Open Forum was held in Santa
Fe, New Mexico, USA.) Participants will explore the capabilities, uses, content,
development, and operation of registries and related technologies. Emphasis
is on the management of metadata for eBusiness and eGovernment.

This Open
Forum will concentrate on the following technologies:

ISO/IEC 11179 Metadata Registries

Model Driven Architecture

ebXML

MetaModel Facilities

Case studies

Terminology/Ontology/Concept Structures

These technologies help enterprise managers to manage
their data, information systems and information services. The conference will
gather standards developers, software developers, and practitioners in these
fields to demonstrate accomplishments and to discuss current and future
efforts.

See the
official web site at: http://www.cnis.gov.cn/openforum/english/meeting2/index.htm

Hi
Bruce,

I hope you
are well.

Have you
received many ebXML papers? Would you like me to send a CfP to our many ebXML
technical committees? When does the CfP end? Do you think we could possibly get
some assistance if we send an OASIS executive to this
conference?

 Best regards,

Dee
