RE: [chairs] What can Standards Development / TC Administration do to help?
Hi All –

The DITA Technical Committee is very close
to having a complete XML version of the OASIS document template. We are
currently using it for next version of the DITA architectural and language specification.
The DITA Adoption TC is using is for our best practices and feature articles.
It still needs a little work and we want Mary to review it but we can certainly
make it available for the other TCs.

How much of this review might be automated?

might be a lot if we had an xml publication format.

This would really cut down on the iterative churn that seems to frustrate the
people involved in the publication process. Great idea!

That would be very helpful indeed, especially for
new TC's / people submitting specifications for the first time...

Best regards
