RE: Can HTML version of genericode documents be (OpenOffice) HTML rather than XHTML?
They're both pretty awful - I've been trying to get a decent HTML conversion of
your files out of ODF using a number of approaches:
a) save as HTML
b) save as XHTML
c) save as doc, open in Word, save as HTML ...
d) save as office 2003 xml, open in Word, save as HTML ...
e) open ODT in Word using plug-in, save as HTML ...

none of which have been successful. I've also been in contact with someone at
the OpenDocument Fellowship to see if their odf2xhtml converter is
same/better/worse and will be experimenting.

Maybe I'll try saving the PDF as HTML next ...

(once I get to HTML I use the Tidy Online converter to clean-up/turn into XHTML)
