Minutes for February 22, 2016 DITA Adoption FASC Meeting

Discussion centered around the draft taxonomy MindMap. Considerable progress was made on refining the major nodes and their meanings. A few main nodes have been trimmed or moved (i.e. "DITA Principles" is now a sub-node of what was "DITA Standard", and
 is now "DITA Architecture") and others added (i.e. "Professional Bodies"). Too many changes to easily cover; please see the attached PDF for an overview of where things now stand.

Don made a critical distinction between the taxonomic structure containing knowledge about DITA and its whole milieu and separating that from categories that are specific to the website; these are marked in the attached PDF as the sections outlined in
 pink at the bottom. Need to confirm with Mark that these do in fact reflect his thinking of website categories.

Don and Keith came away from the (2 hour) meeting feeling that we are close to having the major taxonomic categories covered, and may be able to close it by the next meeting and move on to a discussion of the website's navigation scheme.
