Slow down on this. Building tooling for template-based
specialization is one thing -- that's clearly not standards driven
work -- but if LwDITA wants to have elements and attributes in
LwDITA that will provide hooks for template-based specialization,
that very much is standards activity.
In the interim, I'd also suggest (please, please) that writing
time that you might have to spare be directed towards this
committee note or the coding effort needed to make it happen. Here
are some of the outstanding work items that I am aware of:
Constructing the multimedia specialization, both as a
component of LwDITA and as a plug-in that DITA 1.3 users could
use
Documenting the multimedia specialization in the draft
committee note
Documenting the attributes used in LwDITA
Those in DITA 1.3
Those in multimedia specialization
Any added to support template-based specialization
