Reducing Complexity - what about Subject Scheme

The need to monitor DITA complexity is a slippery but essential subject.

I applaud that we are trying to navigate it.

 

I am wondering if you folks see Subject Scheme as part of Technical Writer.  I think of Subject Scheme as a horizontal that should be an add-in.  Horizontal meaning it is cross cutting and goes across special interests such as the “vertical” learning or semi-conductor.
