DOCBOOK-APPS: Can XSLT processor use archives?

Hi,

This question should rather be sent to xalanj list but I'll give a
shot here.

Is it possible for xslt processor, like Xalan2.0 to fetch xsl files from
docbook distrubution zip archive directly?

Has anyone done this already?  Trax API seems to leave hooks for custom
made URI resolvers (1).
