orphan/widow control

Hi,

what I thought to be a minor issues turns out to seemingly prevent me from 
using my tool-chain (Saxon 6.5.1 -> FOP 0.20.5). Having in mind 
FrameMakers easy-to-use orphan/widow-control I thought there would be a 
stylesheet-parameter to adjust the number of lines which are allowed as 
orphan/widow. But extensive searching through the net makes me think that 
this is not as easy as I thought.

Would xsltproc - > passiveTeX be more sufficient? How do you control 
orphans and widows?
