Thanks a lot.

But how can I customize the stylesheets, so that nested <section> elements
with the role attribute set to 'landscape' (for example) result in fo-blocks
which are childs of the <fo:flow> element (because PSMI seems to need that).

Currently only the first level <section> element results in a fo-block which
is a child of fo:flow. Any ideas are appreciated.
