ulink.footnotes

Hi DocBook Users:

I am using SAXON 6.5.3 from Michael Kay,  FOP 0.20.5, and Using 
com.icl.saxon.aelfred.SAXDriver as SAX2 Parser

My problem is that the footnotes are *not* appearing the PDF output.  
The XML and XSL are shown below:

  <para> Link to <ulink url="http://www.wormbase.org">WormBase </ulink> 
. </para>

In the stylesheet customization layer, I have :

	<xsl:param name="ulink.show" select="0"></xsl:param>
	<xsl:param name="ulink.footnotes" select="1"></xsl:param>

Could someone please comment ?
