DocBook XSL-FO Stylesheets and Multiple Volumes

Hi.  Can you instruct the DocBook XSL-FO stylesheets to produce 
multiple PDF volumes of a book if the total page count for a book 
exceeds a certain threshold?  How do others on this list go about 
chunking books into multiple PDF volumes?
