Yes, it is possible to control that.

 

Let me ask for a clarification.  Some people 
refer to a title such as "Figure 3: Use a mouse" as a caption.  There is 
also a caption element that is optional.  Which do you mean?

  frequently separated from their images. Is there a way to control the print 
  layout so that image and caption are kept together (and, likewise, tables and
