That's what i want to avoid.
It's the running of Ant that generates the list ....

Try the following approach (untested):
- generate a file which contains filenames of your image files
(one per line). Probably you have to this before you run 'ant'.
- use Ant's 'copy' task with a 'fileset' setting the 'includesfile"
attribute to your images filename.
