DOCBOOK: customizing the stylesheets

Hi,

I've taken a look in the DSSL stylesheets and customize the docbook stylesheet
a little bit. But I don't find the way to :
- suppress empty pages between chapters
- customize the page headings (to add the book's title, the version and so on)

does someone know how to do this ?

(sorry if the question has already been asked, but the archives are not
searchables :( )
