DOCBOOK: Support for ismaps?

There are two ways that you could design callouts: put the IDs in the
graphic and point to them from the source or put links in the graphic
and point to IDs in the source.

Alas, we did it the "IDs in the graphic" way and HTML imagemaps do it
the "links in the graphic" way.

Does anyone have experience working around this problem? What did you
do?
