DOCBOOK: how about an inline version of <note>

In writing pedagogical manuals I find myself wanting an inline type of
"note".  The kind that does not have a full paragraph in it, but
rather just some text.

It is typically introduced by wrinting something like "please notice
that if you type control-C here you might cause the target system to
reboot" or something on those lines.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this?
