DOCBOOK: image area link

hi all,

I use XML DocBook 5.0
My intention is, to include different images. These images are menu bars
which I need to describe.
I know there is the opportunity to define areas, specially for callouts, ..
but i need it the other way round (more or less). I want the user to jump to
a special chapter when clicking on a certain position on the image.
Is there a solution?

any kind of help would be appreciated.
