It works this way. If there are localized date formats in
common/{$lang}.xml they are used, otherwise en defaults are used. You
can translate missing entries in gentext/locale/ru.xml from
gentext/locale/en.xml (both files can be obtained via CVS on
SourceForge) and se them to me. I will add them to the next release of
stylesheets.
