I have version 1.48. Could that be the problem?
My version came with Slackware 10 so it shouldn't be too old...

I tried
<xsl:param name="header.rule">0</xsl:param>
<xsl:param name="footer.rule">0</xsl:param>
but that didn't work either.
I also tried placing those rules at the top, in the middle and at the
bottom of the XSL, still no difference. :?
