docbook-xsl-1.70.0 vs. multiple autogenerated TOCs in an <article> ...

Does anyone know whether the docbook-xsl stylesheets support the
generation of "Table Of Contents" for sub-sections in an <article> ?
Right now it seems that one TOC is generated for all <section>s but we
like to get TOCs for some of the sub-sections (we use nested <section>
since the document is deeply nested) and maybe one global TOC which
refers to the sub-TOCs...
