The DocBook Technical Committee met on Wednesday, 16 July 2014
at 1:00pm ET.

1. Roll call

Present: Dick Hamilton, Scott Hudson, Jirka Kosek, Larry Rowland,
Bob Stayton, Norm Walsh

Absent: Loren Cahlander, Nancy Harrison

2. Accepted the minutes [1] of the previous meeting (May).

3. Next meeting: 20 August 2014

Scott expressed regrets.

4. Review of the agenda.

No changes.

5. Review of open action items

  a.  Norm to publish an XSD for 5.1 when it is finished.
      CONTINUE

  b.  Norm to publish DocBook 5 CR3 and announce plans to move
      forward.
      COMPLETED

  c.  Norm to work with OASIS to advance DocBook 5.1 to
      OASIS Standard.
      CONTINUE


6.  Publisher's and eLearning subcommittee reports

Scott put forth draft XSL stylesheets for processing publisher's
documents.  He would like them to be reviewed, and the problems
with the epub version resolved.

7.  Transclusion in DocBook

Norm reports that the W3C is still awaiting a second
implementation to demonstrate the new W3C XInclude standard.

ACTION: Norm to convince someone to implement the new XInclude
standard.

ACTION: Jirka will update the "DocBook Transclusion" document to
(http://docbook.org/docs/transclusion/transclusion.html) to be
based on new XInclude 1.1 features.

8.  DocBook 5.1 release

Norm announced Candidate Release 3 on the DocBook list,
will complete the XML Schema version, and will work with
OASIS to start the standards process.
