Invitation to US Congressman Shimkus

Hi,
I have sent an invitation to Congressman Shimkus as he is the chair of the
Commerce Telecommunications and the Internet Subcommittee which sponsors
H.R. 5785, the Warning, Alert and Response Network (WARN) Act of 2006. The
legislation is aimed at expanding the current Emergency Alert System,
designed to keep the public informed during an emergency through use of
broadcast TV and radio networks. The so-called WARN Act would create a
voluntary expansion of the emergency alert network to other communication
services, including the Internet, cell phones, and cable TV.
