Dear sir,

 

ITU and OASIS are jointly organizing a
conference on ICT standards for public warning and we have been seeking a speaker
from WHO for this event.

 

Recently, it has been suggested that a
presentation on the Regulations that will enter into force in June 2007
requiring all countries to report on diseases of epidemic potential, and a
perspective on how standards must be improved to face these challenges would be
of interest to the conference.

 

I would appreciate your naming a
speaker.  The speaking slot is 16h00-16h20 on Thursday 19 October, 2006.
