I agree that by having some of the workflow scenarios separated into a different profile (BTW, such a profile should be a general one and not dedicated to PDF files. I would name it "Simple Document Signing Profile" ) we are potentially dealing with a much leaner interface that will not include any information about the configuration of the displayed components and their content.
In such a profile probably only the document itself and a signature field identification will be sufficient to perform the digital signature operation by the DSS Service.
Also, such a profile can be used for cases that documents support invisible signatures.
Maybe it is something we should discuss in the committee.
