I also think that it should be part of the DSS core.
As I recall one of the profile use it and the identification of the
PKCS#1 signature is: "urn:ietf:rfc:2437:RSASSA-PKCS1-v1_5".

fueled by DKIM and a related german spec regarding secured mail I see
some interest getting back on the long-forgotten PKCS1 signatures.
Does anyone else in the group already worked on proceessing PKCS1
signatures in a DSS environment ? If yes, we could agree on some
constants / definitions and probably design a profile for it ...
