RE: [ebxml-cppa-btp] BTP at CPP/A
Dear Dale, Hope we can get a few more there in person - I did say we should have come to Scottsdale again! - though of course the Washington area has its attractions too. If there are only a few of us happy to go with Marty's suggestion of keeping together, at least for much of the time so we can all be brought up to date on the various aspects of CPP/A and contribute our 2 penny worth (= about 3 cents worth!). We will have to see how things work out. If we get to the point were we can separate to do writing assignments / small group discussion on specific topics and then report back to a full meeting again that would be great - but I agree it depends on how the meeting actually works out. Please confirm: I seem to have got out of sync yet again. I am putting you on the list to be there in person. We have about 6 or 7 confirmed attendance, and several others will participate by phone. We are looking forward to the session. Hima will be contributing to the btp work and we will try to work on the schedule to allow time for the subteam work and reports as needed. I think negotiation, btp/transaction support, and survey of approaches to wsdl integration will be main agenda items. We will decide during May whether to work as one group or to split up into teams at the face to face. My guess is that possibly some splitting up may promote getting more work done, but that we will want to have some joint sessions across each of the main topic areas so that there is a sharing of knowledge. Negotiation, for example, could benefit from knowing what negotiation would make sense for suporting transaction capability and role agreement. Dale: do I need to register or is this mail sufficient. The reason that my attendance has been supported is that we would like to make real progress on producing a version of CPP/A (however we agree to do that) which is applicable to a system which includes BTP capability. I hope others will be able to come and work on this topic as well and that Dale you will either allow a generous allocation of time for this topic in the meeting, or will split us up into sub-teams so we have time to work on it. There is already a list serve set up for this aspect of CPP/A work and I hope that others will now join it and contribute. I will try to send out my thoughts again - possibly revised in the light of experience over the last few months.
