New ebXML Case Study on CDC Now Online

A new case study detailing the use of ebXML by the U.S. Centers for
Disease Control (CDC) is now available. CDC's Prevention Public Health
Information Network Messaging System (PHINMS) implements the ebXML
infrastructure to securely transmit public health information over the
Internet. PHINMS is a generic, standards-based, interoperable and
extensible message transport system. It is platform-independent and
loosely coupled with systems that produce outgoing messages or consume
incoming messages. The case study shows a successful implementation of
two ebXML specifications, ebMS and CPPA.
