We need duplicate detection, at the very least at the To Party MSH. My comment
had to do with the possibility of not doing duplicate detection at the
Intermediate level.
Oh, OK.
This is the primary obstacle we are facing since
Intermediate duplicate detection precludes retries by the From Party MSH.
It's really too bad that IM duplicate detection should preclude
retries by the From Party MSH. This is the kind of evil that comes
from mixing up the higher and lower layers. We'd never run into this
kind of restriction with a cleanly-layered approach. (Sorry if I'm
sounding like a broken record. I'm going to have to bow out of this
fascinating conversation because I'll be on vacation, offline, for the
next week.)
