RE: [election-services] Fw: EML : USA INTEROP DEMO
The wording on all 3 look fine from the US usage, except
for Ballot 1's reference to DRE.  The DRE term refers to lots of things;
kiosk devices are ne type of DRE.  Touch screen devices, regardless of
location, are what most people associate with DRE.  I would suggest
changing that option to either just DRE or to split it to say Kiosk
based Touch Screen and another that says Polling Location Touch
Screen.

Has anyone worked out any logistics about this
demonstration?  I know we will be heavily involved in the elections during
February and getting coordinated for this event will be a big stretch; I want to
do it but it will take a lot of lead time to make it
happen.

[election-services] Fw: EML : USA INTEROP DEMO

Attached are some suggested ballots for the Interop Demo.  Probably
two would suffice so preferences, alterations, alternatives welcomed
please.

Would our American colleagues ensure the language is correct for the USA
audience please.

We are still awaiting agreement with the conference organisers
to conduct the Interop Demo but time is running out fast so I suggest
we press on with our plans assuming it will go ahead as
envisaged.  I've put together the attached storyboard using our experiences
of the Demo in UK and would welcome confirmation of who is likely to or
definitely will be participating, contributions/alternative suggestions on the
storyboard, and any other comments about the event.

I suggest we hold a telecon early in Jan to firm up the plans - how
about  Friday 4th Jan?

Hopefully by then we will have agreed the schedule with the
conference organisers.

John
