Committee Specification ballot succeeded; errata vote this week; profiles
The Committee Specification ballot for EMIX CS01 passed; the ballot
    closed last night -- see
    http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/ballot.php?id=2138

The final vote was 10 Yes, 1 Abstain, with a comment by Joshua
    Phillips:

EMIX is an extremely flexible tool. The IRC supports developing
standards that will enable greater interoperation demand response
and energy storage, and EMIX is able to convey this information.
It is with reservations that we vote yes, due in part to the
extreme flexibility which will require profiling to ensure
interoperability. This in addition to the reclassification of
products as options. While EMIX Options appears able to represent
certain aspects of ancillary service products, it does so in a
manner that appears to be in disagreement with current market
systems. In an effort to move the development of demand response
and energy storage systems forward we are in approval of the
standard, yet at this time do not see a current implementation as
      possible.

The definition of profiles and methods to build profiles for
specific markets is an important area; we have encouraged that work.
There is a pending Note on profile construction that I hope will be
finished with other pending Notes in the next month.

This week on Thursday, November 17, we will vote on approving the
errata for a 15 day public review. Toby has uploaded the errata as a
new Working Draft, showing differences from the text that is now
Committee Specification 1. This addresses issues raised by TC Admin
among others, and are purely minor editorial corrections, which
gives us an opportunity to do the public review on the errata so the
"latest version" reflects the correction of these minor issues.

Word flags things that have not actually changed as changed, so as
you look at the PDF errata
    (http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/download.php/44350/emix-1-0-spec-wd37-wd38-diffs-errata.pdf
) you'll see page footers and the specific changes; you'll also
notice that many internal links are shown as changed when they
    actually are not.

I'll post the agenda for Thursday; this is the only planned business
besides approving minutes. The earlier minutes were posted in an
updated agenda a week or more ago, so please look at them for any
    exceptions that need discussion.

    Thanks!
