[legalxml-sc] member section RoPs

OASIS Board:  At the last Board meeting you considered the RoPs for a couple of our  member sections. It was pointed out that the proposed RoPs did not  conform to the OASIS Bylaws in that members were not selecting the MS  chair. The outcome of the discussion, if I recall correctly, was that  the Board was going to take a look at the Bylaws and/or the MS RoPs and  decide how to resolve this discrepency, and that in the meantime the  member sections were not to conduct elections.  The LegalXML member section's RoP states that they are to conduct a  sterring committee election after they formed four TCs, which they have  now done. In the steering committee call today they asked me to remind  the Board of this schedule and that they would like to start planning  for an election soon, and request that the Board address the Bylaws  issue in the near future.  -Karl
