John, 



As you
may have seen from the results notice from KAVI, the Steering Committee vote on
the IP Policy proposal has been concluded. Six of the ten members of the
Steering Committee cast ballots. Of the six who voted, 5 voted to adopt the
Policy Statement and 1 voted not to adopt it (with a comment).
