The next member section steering committee meeting is schedule to occur
on May 12, 2006, during the week of the OASIS symposium when a number
of our members will be travelling and occupied in events surrounding
the symposium. I have canvassed some of the members who will be
affected and at least one prefers to postpone the meeting for a week,
while one or more have indicated a willingness to attend
notwithstanding the inconvenience. Because of the press of some of the
agenda items which are detailed below, I think one week's delay can be
accommodated but more of a delay could impact one or more TC's. I am
therefore inclined to move the meeting one week to the following
Wednesday, May 17, 2006 at the same time as usual to help having a
quorum, unless there is strong objection. 

Draft Agenda:

1. Roll call
2. Adoption of minutes
3. Report on Member Section finances by John Messing
4. Report from Roger Winters on discussions with OASIS staff re:
"Section membership for voting and other purposes"
5. New IPR policies of TC's
    a. Report from the eNotary TC regarding pending motion for adoption
of RF on Limited IPR Mode by the TC; request for position from the
Steering Committee on the same; description by Jamie Clark of the
relevant procedures and methods.
    b. LegalXML member section stance on acceptable member TC IPR modes,
rules for enforcement and timelines for adoption.
6. Vice Chair position
7. New business.
8. Adjourn
