I noticed that in the revisions you proposed for the LegalXML MS RoP the
deletion of the last sentence of Section C and the deletion of Sections D &
E. Please provide your reasoning for these deletions.
Also, the language in the original Section F (Funding Model) used the phrase
"Up to 40%" so as to allow for the negotiation of the funding percentage as
part of the annual budgeting process. For example, in 2006, the LegalXML MS
only spent approximately 33% of the budgeted expense funds. If in 2007, the
LegalXML MS fails to spend the budgeted funds, then we (OASIS Staff & the
Steering Committee) need to be able to negotiate a revised membership
funding percentage, without having to revise the RoP each year.
I do not have any objections to the other revisions you indicated.
