Now, that we have the election behind us we need to deal with a problem in the language of the LegalXML RoP. Scott and I know of one change for the LegalXML RoP that needs to address the lower number of StC members. The current sentence is ‘
Three or four additional "At Large" Steering Committee members shall be elected by the Qualified Electors of the OASIS LegalXML Member Section.’ We currently have two ‘at-large’ StC members. I would like to remove a specific number, something like:
‘In order to maintain an odd number status of the Steering Committee, "At Large" Steering Committee members shall be elected by the Qualified Electors of the OASIS LegalXML Member Section yearly.’ But the StC will need to create the language to deal with this discrepancy. Please review the RoP carefully, http://www.legalxml.org/governance/rules_of_procedures.shtml, and see if there are other changes too – we need to deal with them at one time.
