I am at the office where I work part-time post-retirement, and Skype is blocked here (as is You Tube, FaceBook, Twitter, etc. etc.)
At least I can use the office phone (as I can my home land phone if I'm not working) to call ANY number in Canada or USA without charge to myself.
However, if I am away from home or the office as I often am, and have to use a hotel phone or my Canadian cell phone or a pay phone to call a USA number, then I pay long distance rates from my own wallet if the call-in number isn't one of these toll-free area codes - 800 , 888 , 877 , 866
or 855.
I'm sorry I am such a pain Jim, but this is my reality in Canada. RO'B
