This is great news. I am CCing this to the rest of the Steering Committee and will submit a formal request for funds for travel to St. Paul once we have an  estimate on costs.  I do not see that as an issue.

As to the best representative from OASIS, I am happy to go if that is the recommendation of the Steering Committee.  However, I’m thinking that, as a practicing  attorney,  Jamie Clark may be a better representative to this particular group.  Jamie,  are you available?

Hi,
IMHO, it sounds like an invitation to try to really bring this group into the OASIS fold, what do others think?
There are unassigned funds in the LegalXML budget, so funding the travel should not be a problem and if Jim is willing to do so, I think he is best one to go.

Dee, Jamie, Jim and Scott,     We would welcome attendance by an OASIS representative at the 2012-2013 EDRM kickoff meeting on May 16-17, 2012.

The EDRM XML group would be glad to hear whatever suggestions or proposals OASIS has to offer, as well as to help an OASIS representative get a better understanding of how the group operates.

We would not charge any attendance fee to the representative, but we are not in a position to cover the representative's travel expenses.

Thank you for taking the time to talk with me today.  We are pleased with your interest in the EDRM XML project and want to make sure that whatever decision we arrive at, the lines of communication stay open.

I have sent a message to our EDRM XML participants, giving them a quick overview of the call and promising to send along the materials from you as soon as I receive them.  As we discussed, whether to move the EDRM XML project to OASIS or  to keep it with EDRM is not one for me to make but one that rests with our participants.
