Test Assertions Model 1.0 becomes OASIS Standard

The Standard defines a model for Test Assertions that are associated with a specification, and defines their use and semantics. Congratulations to the TAG TC chair, Jacques Durand of Fujitsu, and to all TC participants including representatives of Sponsors, Axway, Fujitsu, Oracle and US NIST for this accomplishment.

EDXL Distribution Element (DE) 2.0 public review begins

The Emergency Data Exchange Language (EDXL) DE describes a standard message distribution format for data sharing among emergency information systems. It allows related pieces of emergency information to be wrapped into a single “package” for easier and more useful distribution. EDXL-DE also lets packages be "addressed" to organizations or individuals with specified roles, in specified locations, or with interest in specified keywords. The public review ends 27 Nov.

This multi-part specification defines a generic protocol for the interaction required between a client and server for performing searches. The public review ends 14 Jan.

OASIS seeks Systems Administrator

The consortium has a job opening for a Systems Administrator/Engineer with experience designing, deploying and maintaining IT systems from hardware up through the platform and application stack. The successful applicant will help OASIS move from a self-hosted to a managed-hosting environment.
